Present the prize of Climber of the year in F1 2005. Imola 2006

The poll was closed on 31st December 2005 and the first place goes to the World Champion of Formula 1 Mr. Fernando Alonso.

Presenting the trophies – both cups, made by the world known glass works in Nizbor – Rückl Crystal, a.s. was originally planned for the GP of San Marino in Imola 2006. Negotiations were held with the Renault F1 Marketing Manager Mr. Jason Campbell and with Mr. Bradley Lord on site and the awarding ceremony took place on Thursday 20th March 2006 at 4.30 pm. However, only a half of the trophy was delivered to Mr. Luis Garcia Abard, Fernando Alonso’s manager.

Thanks to the team consisting of Dr. Petr Dufek, owner of the magazine FORMULE, Mr. Tomas Leixner, a sports journalist of the Daily Sport and a photographer Jiri Krenek. Unfortunately, the owner of www.constructorsf1.com Miroslav Sanytrak has not obtained the accreditation yet and was only able to watch the race from the stalls. He remained in telephone contact with the team though and the whole situation was discussed at dinner in the evening.

The other part of the trophy was awarded on Friday 5th May 2006 around 5 pm at the GP of Europe at Nürburgring again in front of the Renault F1 Team motorhome. The trophy also remained in hands of Mr. Gavin Hudson for a while in the team’s pit box. The award was delivered by Dr. Petr Dufek into the hands of the World Champion Fernando Alonso, photographed by Jiri Krenek. The information about the ceremony also appeared in the Daily Sport, Saturday 6th May 2006 thanks to Tomas Leixner. The images were sent by email directly from the press centre. The information was also passed on the radio waves of 2 meters through a converter 145 775 MHz as early as Friday 5th May evening and again on Saturday 6th May 2006 in the morning and in the evening.
